Our course has been specially designed for students and adults wishing to get quick results in a short period of time.
Attending a one-month course with us is equivalent to one year of study at University.

The progression curve below is derived from our teaching experience and based on the proficiency levels defined by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

The present curve is an average based on our previous experience. Learning speed depends also on the participant's ability to learn a foreign language, on his motivation and on which other languages he already speaks.


A1 « Introduction to Russian language » 

Level certified by the TEU exam
Vocabulary: 780 words

Learn the basics of Russian language. Communicate in Russian language in very simple daily life and work situations.

The participant can understand and use familiar everyday expressions and very basic phrases aimed at the satisfaction of needs of a concrete type. S/he can introduce him/herself and others and can ask and answer questions about personal details such as where s/he lives, people s/he knows and things s/he has. S/he can interact in a simple way provided the other person talks slowly and clearly and is prepared to help.

A2 « Survival » 

Level certified by the TBU exam
Vocabulary: 1300 words

Strengthen basic language skills. Communicate in Russian language in simple daily life and work situations.

The participant can understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance (e.g. very basic personal and family information, shopping, local geography, employment). S/he can communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar and routine matters. S/he can describe in simple terms aspects of his/her background, immediate environment and matters in areas of immediate need.

B1 « Threshold » 

Official requirement for entry to a university in Russia (level certified by the TRKI-1 exam)
Vocabulary: 2300 words

Deepen Russian language skills. Use of Russian language in standard daily life and work situations.

The participant can understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, leisure, etc. S/he can deal with most situations likely to arise whilst travelling in an area where the language is spoken. S/he can produce simple connected text on topics which are familiar or of personal interest, or about the world. S/he can describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes & ambitions and briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans.

B2 « Independent » 

Official requirement to become an employee in a Russian company (level certified by the TRKI-2 exam)
Vocabulary: 5000-6000 words

Speak Russian language fluently. Communicate in Russian in all daily life situations and in a variety of work situations.

The participant can understand the main ideas and details of complex text on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in his/her field of specialisation. S/he can interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers quite possible without strain for either party. S/he can produce clear, detailed text on a wide range of subjects and explain a viewpoint on a topical issue giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options.
S/he can express and argue her/his point of view on socially significant problems. S/he understands colloquial and journalistic style, the basics of official business style and of popular science style.
To reach this level, it is better to live in the country for some time, actively communicate in Russian with Russians, by living in a host family for example.

C1 « Autonomous » 

Official requirement to work as an executive in a Russian company, as a diplomat, a Russian language teacher, a translator or as an interpreter (level certified by the TRKI-3 exam)
Vocabulary: 7000 words

Speak fluent Russian without effort on various subjects of everyday life, in unfamiliar situations and in formal situations.

The participant can understand a wide range of demanding, longer texts, and recognise implicit meaning. S/he can express him/herself fluently and spontaneously without much obvious searching for expressions. S/he can convince her/his interlocutor, be able to give a moral and ethical assessment of ambiguous situations. S/he can use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes. S/he can produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, showing controlled use of organisational patterns, connectors and cohesive devices.
The participant can use the language correctly, both functionally and stylistically, is able to participate in situations of communication involving people of different social status, including communicating as a person of high social status (for example, as a boss). The participant must be familiar with case texts, and must have a cultural background.
